BIOGRAPHY

Cynthia Hauk’s work incorporates unique and complex layers of abstract and fragmented imagery, as she explores the ephemeral and beauty found in decay. Her work investigates contemporary issues such as modern ruins, the inevitable process of degradation and renewal, aesthetics, and nostalgia. Cynthia has worked with many different art media including: painting, site-specific installations, and photography. She has exhibited her work throughout the United States (i.e., AZ, CO, FL, MA, NY, OH, and WA), as well as internationally in Florence, Italy. Cynthia earned her Master of Fine Arts from the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University, and is a professional Photographer and Instructor.
